What i’m describing here is my graphite pencil drawing setup but there are different ways that i set up my table depending on which medium i’m using. i work with three mediums; charcoal, graphite, and colored pencils. my colored pencil tin is also sitting here on my desk ready for the changeover when i move into colored pencil.. My pencil tastes lean towards pencils i can both write and draw with. as a lefty, smudging is a big concern for me as well so i tend to prefer a firmer core when i use graphite. mostly though, i tend to prefer more wax-based or non-graphite pencils. i will always keep a few graphite pencils in my collection but they will be top tier quality..
