outdoor wood stove leaking water
Trying to fix the boiler. trying to fix the outdoor wood boiler leak with some quicksteel. Leaks are an outdoor wood stoves worst enemy. with a water jacket that surrounds the firebox, a leak can be expensive and detrimental to the stove. some owners of taylor stoves complain of having leaks after only 2-3 years of use which is vastly different from others who have used the stoves for over 20 years without any issues.. There's about an inch of water in the firebox. i think if i can find the leak, it should be a pretty easy weld job. at least the leak isn't in the middle of one of the tubes. consensus here is to keep running the stove till perhaps mid next week when i can get it cleaned out and dry. supposed to be warmer then too..

The leak is only from that side which looks unfinished and it starts drip heavier when there is a big fire and stove is really hot. now after 3-4 hours of burning it stopped but im still worried. do i need to burn all the time to prevent water to accumulated there or the problem is somewhere else? i haven't spotted any leaks when stove is cold. I have a hardy wood stove h2 is pretty old, but that's not the point. i am in search of quick fix for a water leak somewhere in the area of the fire box door. i just need it to last for a few weeks. cold weather is all but gone in my area just a few more weeks and i can actually fix the leak correctly..
